Roygent Parks Hanoi organized a half day trip to Quang Phu Cau Village & Ha Thai Village in December.

In Quang Phu Cau Village has been making incense sticks for Tet for more than 100 years.
Each Vietnamese family has an altar and burns incense. Not only in the same way as in Japan, but also when the baby was born.
Unlike Japanese incense sticks, the heartwood use bamboo.Bamboo is soaked in the river, preserved and dried, then tear bamboo and dyed red. The incense sticks dried are as colorful as blooming flowers. Each color have meaning, red is “inner energy”, yellow is “emotional connection and communication”. And apply the fragrance there and dry it again to complete.Vietnamese agarwood has no bitterness and mellow gives off aroma. In addition, there are various incense sticks combining cinnamon and herbs. Scent different from incense sticks in Japan, It may be good for souvenirs♪

It is very busy before Tet, many workshops are in full production. They earn more than twice the average monthly income. The incense is indispensable for Vietnamese people.
