Summer in Northern Vietnam is often associated with fresh seasonal fruits, and Thanh Ha lychee from Hai Duong is one of the most well-known summer specialties. Last Saturday, Roygent Parks Hanoi organized its annual lychee picking experience for in-house guests, bringing families and children to Dong Man Eco-Tourism Area in Thanh Ha, Hai Duong.

Discovering Thanh Ha, a Famous Lychee-Growing Area in Hai Duong

Thanh Ha has long been known as one of Vietnam’s most famous lychee-growing regions. Beyond its sweet and juicy lychees, the area also offers a peaceful countryside atmosphere surrounded by nature, making it an ideal destination for summer outdoor activities.

Although this year’s lychee season was not as abundant as usual due to a lower harvest, guests were still able to experience picking lychees by hand, tasting fresh lychees in the orchard, and enjoying the unique atmosphere of Thanh Ha’s lychee season.

A Boat Ride Experience Reminiscent of Vietnam’s Mekong Delta

One of the highlights of this year’s trip was the boat ride into the lychee orchard. The riverside scenery at Dong Man Eco-Tourism Area created a refreshing and memorable experience, reminiscent of the garden tours often seen in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta.

For many international guests and families with young children, this was not only a sightseeing activity, but also a chance to discover a charming side of Vietnam’s eco-tourism: simple, green, and close to nature.

The lychee picking program was more than just a short trip outside the city. It was an opportunity for families to spend quality time together, surrounded by nature. Children could observe lychee trees, pick the fruit themselves, enjoy fresh lychees at the orchard, and learn more about local Vietnamese produce.
